What is dual-diagnosis treatment?
Dual-diagnosis treatment is a type of addiction treatment that simultaneously treats substance use disorders and mental illness. Therefore, dual-diagnosis treatment is appropriate for individuals who are struggling with addiction and who have co-occurring mental and/or behavioral health disorders.
How do I know if I suffer from co-occurring disorders?
To determine if you suffer from a co-occurring mental or behavioral health disorder, you must receive professional clinical and mental evaluations. You can receive a general clinical and mental evaluation at your doctor’s office. After being evaluated by your physician, you may also need to consult a mental health professional and an addiction treatment specialist to delve deeper into your situation.
Do I have to suffer from a dual diagnosis to receive treatment at Grace Land Recovery?
No, even though we are a dual-diagnosis treatment center that specializes in treating co-occurring disorders, we also treat standard forms of addiction. Whether you suffer from a dual-diagnosis disorder or have a substance use disorder without a co-occurring mental illness, you can receive treatment at Grace Land Recovery.
